It's hard to believe we're half way through the year and that it's been such a long time since we've been able to get out and about to WBRC events. But in line with recent government guidelines I'm happy to say that BRC have given us the go ahead to resume riding club activities! See attached for the full update.
So the committee have spring into action and already have a huge amount lined up in the calendar. Below is a selection of up and coming events with more in the pipeline - as always head over to WebCollect to book on. All clinic participants will be required to adhere to social distancing practices which clinic organisers will provide before each individual clinic.

Camp update
Currently summer 2020 camp is still going ahead however due to BRC guidelines no overnight stays are currently allowed and boomerang remains closed so decision will be made nearer the end of the month as lockdown unfolds. We have considered moving it back to 19-20th September and we'll be putting a poll on Facebook to see what everyone's preference is so we can make a decision in favour of those members wanting to attend.
In the meantime we'll keep you all updated over the next few weeks.

Introduction to using the gallops, or ride to your XC watch clinics
Sat 13th June & Sat 4th July 2020
With Lisa Oram, who has many years of experience of riding to XC watch to ensure no time penalties and also getting horses fit for eventing or just leisure. Venue is oval shape all weather gallop at Bramshill. With the ground so hard in the summer this is a great chance to get your horse fitter on perfect going or just to have a nice leisure ride with option of more canters. Half hour private or 45 min shared sessions, bookings open on WebCollect until 3 days before. Suitable for all levels as option just to walk or trot. Late morning/early afternoon times.
Grid and pole work
Sunday 14th June & Tuesday evening 16th June
With Darren Hegarty being held at Paynes Cottage, Bramshill, Hook RG27 0RG.
I cannot recommend these clinics enough. Grid work is an excellent way to get the horses working gymnastically over their backs and improve the confidence of the horse and rider whilst working on the rider's position. YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Poles and back to basics SJ clinic

At Brooklands huge outdoor school with Lisa Oram. BHS Accredited Professional Coach.
Poles only, poles and cross poles, mini SJ up to 70cm, 75 + as requested. Training exercises, including some grid work.
Afternoon times, groups of 4. Close of bookings is the Monday before.
XC at Tweseldown
Sat 27th June 2020
With Lisa Oram, afternoon times, groups of 4, 1.5 hours.
Very novice up to 70cm, 75 -85cm, 90cm + groups, £48 inc hire.
Booking closes on WebCollect the Monday before, after that email to see if any spaces.
Arena eventing clinic

With Jamie Wright, BE Accredited Coach, morning times, groups of 3.
Suitable for all levels, mocked up knock down arena eventing type fences to include corners, skinnies, angles etc at Kingsway House, Arborfield (outdoor new surface).

BHS challenge award course in horse health - starting late June
Certificated course in first aid, wound management, ailments, when to call the vet, vital signs, signs of good health. Suitable for novice or experienced owners to update their knowledge.
Ideal for those preparing for BHS Stage exams or pony club tests.
6 (weekday evening) sessions of theory on zoom, followed by optional two practical sessions (weekend afternoons)
